Board/ACC Members: Geri Oleson (President), Joyce Rossi (Treasurer), Star Butterton (Secretary), Jim Schutt (ACC)
- Introductions of neighbors attending meeting.
- Joyce Rossi: Treasurer’s Report
- Questions regarding budget:
- Which insurance was dropped? We dropped the insurance protecting Board/ACC from litigation because we are an all-volunteer agency without any personal gain which is protected in Washington. The insurance was expensive, so it was determined to be an unnecessary expense.
- Explanation was given for Latigo Lane having some money from the budget set aside for their road maintenance because they don’t get the benefit of the road maintenance and have extra expense maintaining their gravel road. This was the outcome of litigation from the 1990’s when the homes on Latigo were initially being built. They had an easement but weren’t part of the initial Westridge Development.
- Discussed yard maintenance. We have nothing in the CCR’s about specific yard maintenance. Most people keep their yards appropriate, and peer pressure or a request by a neighbor would be how it would be addressed.
- Elections will be coming up even though we don’t have enough volunteers to fill the positions. We need two volunteers on the ACC and two on the Board. There is an all-call for volunteers.
- Will our road be asphalted? Larry will check in with the county.
- There are some concerns about lack of snowplowing from the county and several complaints have been made. We can raise the issue by official letter, but they are going to prioritize. They will plow the main thoroughfare and main roads but not side roads.
- One member would like some lights in the island because it is difficult to see. Reflective paint might be the solution because solar lights would be stolen like the plants.
- We may want to start a Facebook Page, but we do have a WHOA webpage with a Blog, minutes, and we have interest starting an item sharing section.
- RV’s need to be parked back behind the side of the house with a fence, although are some are large. There are restrictions in the CCR’s about parking on the street long-term.
- What does the ACC need to review? Roofs, exterior remodel, sheds, any structure. Trees on your property are up to you. Notify ACC if greenbelt trees are needing to be removed. Typical landscaping is not address by ACC.
